Palo Alto Global Protect: Windows Installation and Setup Navigate to the download page.Open a web browser and copy/paste the following link https://vpn-nh.quinnipiac.edu into the address bar. A web page will appear as shown in Figure 1 below and the web browser will update its web address (https://login.microsoftonline.com). Sign in to your Quinnipiac account.Enter your username@quinnipiac.edu as instructed on the web page and click Next to continue. Enter your QU username, password, and multifactor authentication (MFA) code when prompted.Figure 1: Microsoft login page Download the Global Protect Installation file.Successful authentication will bring you to Quinnipiac’s Palo Alto webpage as shown in Figure 2. This web page provides links to download the Global Protect software installation file based on your computer platform. After you download the file, you will need to open it to begin installing the application.Windows users will need to download the 64-bit version of the software for your Windows 10 or 11 computer.Note: Keep track of the location the downloaded file is saved to (e.g. Downloads folder). You will need to open the file from that location to install the Global Protect client software.Figure 2: Global Protect download page Install the Global Protect application.Open the file you downloaded in the previous step. When you start the installation, you should see the image that is shown in Figure 3. Complete the installation by selecting Next until the application is installed.During the Windows installation, a system prompt will display – a User Account Control window – where you must click Yes to authorize the installation.Figure 3: Windows installation Set up the VPN portal connection.After the installation is complete, close the installation window. The Global Protect Application window will display on the screen as shown in Figure 4.Enter vpn-nh.quinnipiac.edu for the portal address and click Connect. You may be prompted to select your account and/or enter your Quinnipiac username and password via the SSO web page.
